To use the information in different software systems or in wholesale, you only need to enter the data once. The PDM software then makes the material data available in various output formats such as BMEcat, Eldanorm or Datanorm, depending on the intended use. This is based on the interaction of MatClass with the ECLASS and ETIM classification standards. As a manufacturer, you no longer have to rely on proprietary systems.
MatClass offers numerous added benefits, particularly for mass data maintenance. In addition to simple filter and sorting functions that help you find suitable components more quickly, data can also be assigned collectively. If several items have the same value, the data only needs to be entered once and is then applied to all previously selected items.

ECLASS Advanced and ETIM
MatClass reflects the full complexity of the ECLASS Advanced classification standard. Product data characteristics can thus be structured into aspects and blocks, with the option of applying cardinality and polymorphism. This means that all values are available quickly and easily in a standardised format.
MatClass can also be used for classification in accordance with the ETIM wholesale classification standard, which primarily maps commercial and logistical data for display in web shops. In addition, technical data is included, enabling wholesale customers to easily filter and select the right components. MatClass integrates the classification standard and ensures optimal description.
